It was recently reported that Paris's boyfriend Cy Waits -- who was also arrested that night -- was fired by Wynn, where he had been employed as Co-Chief of Nightlife Operations. Paris is continuing to deny, deny, deny. Her latest tweet? "These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel. I'm not going to even pay attention to them because I know the truth."

Conan O'Brien has unveiled the name of his new TBS late night show. And the winner is . . . Conan!
O'Brien made the revelation in a short video posted on his show's official TBS site -- although, as he noted, the hand-written announcement looked more like "Conaw." Commentators on the web seemed to think the name is a good decision. MTV noted, "The solution to O'Brien's problem is indeed simple and elegant. He becomes the only late night host whose show is simply his name, a convention that has never really been used but is actually a brilliant idea. After all, it's unlikely that most fans ever knew the actual titles of any of O'Brien's previous shows -- the question was always, "Did you catch Conan last night?" It also puts the focus squarely on O'Brien and the idea that he is a singular personality who can carry a show all by himself." Conan premieres on November 8th.

The Rolling Stones will be getting a Monopoly version in stores for the holiday. Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California at approximately 1:35AM, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The starlet served 13 days of a 90-day sentence and taken straight to a local rehab center — where she is expected to spend the next 90 days. It had been expected that the Mean Girls actress would be released from jail early due to overcrowding in the California prison system and the State’s credit system for good behavior.

In news that might just be the best thing to come out of the ’80s since doorknocker earrings and skintight leggings, The Syfy Channel has cast one-time pop rivals Debbie Gibson and Tiffany in one of its Saturday night original movies.
Production begins this month on the campy cheesefest, titled Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.
The Hollywood Reporter sums it up like this: “Gibson will play a fanatical animal-rights activist who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades, where they grow to mega sizes. Tiffany will play an overzealous park ranger who uses dangerous methods to save endangered alligators. In the script, the pair brawl at a party, then take matters outside into the swamp…”

“In the script, the pair brawl at a party, then take matters outside into the swamp. They loved the idea of taking this perceived rivalry and having some fun with it.” Mega Python vs. Gatoroid will debut next year.

The Nokia Theater is all about "The Twilight Saga" tonight as the venue hosts the Los Angeles premiere of "Eclipse." This third film based on Stephenie Meyer's books about a teenage girl who falls for a handsome vampire will open nationwide next Wednesday. Tonight, however, it's all about the stars with Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and other cast members scheduled to stroll the red carpet. Joining the ensemble in "Eclipse" is Bryce Dallas Howard, who says she's thrilled to step into the role of Victoria, a vengeful vampire. Howard is taking over the Victoria role from actress Rachelle Lefevre. Lefevre left the franchise after "New Moon," the second film.
Meanwhile, Twi-Hards are rejoicing at the arrival of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." Hundreds of fans camped outside the Nokia as early as Monday. A few hundred will get a chance to line the red carpet and see their idols up close. David Slade directs "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," which is rated PG-13.

It appears as if "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson has a stronger connection to vampires than most movie-goers would think. According to Ancestry.com, Pattinson is related to 15th-century Transylvanian leader Vlad the Impaler, who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's "Dracula." Genealogist Anastasia Tyler remarks, quote, "Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson's life -- making his story just as supernatural as the one he's playing on screen." Pattinson and Vlad the Impaler's relationship runs through the British royal family. The 24-year-old actor is distant cousins with Princes William and Harry, while Vlad is their distant uncle. "Twilight" author Stephanie Meyer is also a relative of the royal family, meaning she too has a tie to Vlad the Impaler.

Younger generations may be only dimly aware of Art Linkletter, who died Wednesday at 97, or of his seminal TV programs, People Are Funny and House Party. But for decades, Linkletter was a daily fixture for millions of American viewers — who often viewed him more than once a day.
A rare, warm, broadcasting natural, Linkletter did more than just help create and then dominate daytime talk. With his signature House Party segment "Kids Say the Darndest Things," you can almost say he invented children as an unadulterated source of TV entertainment. Certainly he made that claim, and one would be hard-pressed to argue.

Law & Order won’t be getting a new lease on life on TNT after all. TNT has announced that it has no plans to broadcast new episodes of Law & Order. Earlier this month, the crime drama was cancelled by NBC after 20 seasons. TNT was later named as a possible new home for the series after speculation that the rights to the program could be purchased by a cable network. Even L&O creator Dick Wolf was optimistic about forging ahead with a historic 21st season of the gritty drama:
“The patient is not dead,” Wolf told The New York Times last week. “It is in a medically induced coma, and we are hoping for a cure.” Wolf claimed that he was courting offers for the show from other networks, and there might even be a two-hour Law & Order TV movie in the works.
However, The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Turner Broadcasting, which owns TNT, have dismissed the rumors and have no interest in airing new episode of the show.
In a statement Wednesday, network chiefs said: “We are not in current talks, and we are not interested in season 21.” TNT currently holds the rights to reruns of Law & Order.

The Wii version offers multiplayer mode for a fun party game enabling players to compete against their ‘frenemies.’ Opponents can sabotage others’ dates and prevent them from receiving a rose! During each ‘season’ or game, contestants go on a variety of Group Dates and a One-On-One Date to earn hearts. These dates include fun challenges, puzzles and mini-games, which test skills such as memory, speed, observation and precision. At the conclusion of each ‘season,’ players will participate in the rose ceremony, where the Bachelor or Bachelorette must take into account the number of hearts that each competitor gained throughout the dates. Who will receive the Final Rose and who will be eliminated? Stay tuned to find out!”

Nielsen's initial numbers estimate that the two-and-a-half hour "Lost" series finale averaged 13.5 million viewers.  That would make it the highest rated episode in the past two years, but it isn't anything compared to the early years. The first three seasons each averaged between 15 and 16 million viewers . . . and most-watched episode, the Season Two premiere, was seen by 23 million people.

The 21st season finale of "The Simpsons" . . . which aired on Sunday night . . . featured a reference to "Lost" in the opening sequence. --In the shot where Bart is doing his chalkboard-writing punishment . . . he wrote, quote, "END OF 'LOST':  IT WAS ALL THE DOG'S DREAM.  WATCH US."

The noted choreographer and former professional cheerleader will be lead judge, executive producer, creative partner, mentor, and coach on Got to Dance, a performance series based on the hit UK talent show of the same name, The Hollywood Reporter said Monday. Shawn Chapman Holley said that Lindsay has "an upcoming number of photo shoots" and was due to begin filming in Texas for an upcoming movie role and asked that in lieu of the ankle bracelet, Lohan be subject to random alcohol testing as well since the device would interfere with filming. The judge flatly refused.

Trump flat-out asked the 47-year-old rock star if he was risking his life by coming on the finale against his doctors' advice, to which Michaels replied, "Lately it seems like me just standing me up is risking my life," adding that it was worth the risk and he "came to win."

After the judge in Lindsay's probation case issued a warrant for her arrest yesterday, the 23-year-old's people paid $10,000 -- the standard ten percent of her $100,000 bail -- and the warrant was recalled. TMZ.com reports that Lohan and her lawyer plan to be in court at 8:30 AM on Monday (May 24th). The warrant was issued because Lindsay missed a mandatory probation hearing -- claiming to be stranded without her passport at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France. According to Lindsay's mom, she has since gotten an emergency passport and should be back in Los Angeles soon. Despite her lawyer's claims to the contrary, RadarOnline.com reported that Lohan never reported her passport stolen.

Bret Michaels was readmitted to the hospital this week after doctors discovered a hole in his heart. RoadRunnerRecords.com reports that medical staff determined that Michaels suffered a "warning stroke," which is clinically known as a transient ischemic attack. The rocker, who is already recovering from a brain hemorrhage, was taken to the hospital after he complained of "numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands." His doctor stated, "There is no doubt that the positive patent foramen ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the transient ischemic attack (TIA) or warning stroke; however we feel it is highly unlikely this is connected to the brain hemorrhage he suffered just a few weeks earlier. Once again it is great that he quickly reacted to the severe numbness and got to the hospital immediately."

Drew Barrymore has been commissioned to direct the buzzed-about upcoming sequel to the 1939 cinema classic The Wizard of Oz.
The beloved ex-child star made her directorial debut in the 2009 roller derby flick Whip It. Now she’s set to step behind the camera once again for Warner Bros.’ box office-bound fantasy epic Surrender Dorothy, London’s Daily Telegraph dished on Wednesday.

Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber is being honored among some of music’s most prominent Black performers. On Tuesday, the baby-faced teen idol nabbed a Best New Artist nomination for next month’s BET Awards in Los Angeles, where he’ll compete against fellow Canadian Melanie Fiona and the Drake-assisted hip-hop syndicate Young Money.
The annual awards show, sponsored by Black Entertainment Television, typically honors the accomplishments of entertainers of color, but officials describe Bieber — a former YouTube sensation discovered by “Confessions” star Usher — as a crossover artist with talent that transcends color lines. His latest album, My World 2.0, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts in March.

The major networks are stocking up on scripted series: 24 of the 26 new series due this fall are sitcoms and dramas and, all told, 68 are scheduled on the five major networks, up from 61 last fall, when NBC tried Jay Leno five nights a week.
The usual assortment of new shows didn't vary much when networks unveiled their lineups to advertisers this week. Only one extra hour of comedy (on Fox), despite a big push to develop more; plenty of cop, spy and lawyer shows, though fewer risky, heavily serialized dramas.
But networks made a big push to shore up the 10pm hour, home to nine of the new series.
There's a renewed emphasis on moribund Fridays, where nine dramas will air this fall, including new series starring Jimmy Smits, Tom Selleck and Dana Delany, plus relocated CSI: NY and Human Target. Is Friday dead? "Our answer is, NO," says CBS chief Leslie Moonves. The network cites research that viewers haven't watched in large numbers because they simply don't like what's offered.

Simon Cowell will reportedly be knighted next month in England. The Mirror claims that former prime minister Gordon Brown personally recommended that the American Idol judge be knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honors list.
The paper reports that the knighthood will be in recognition of Cowell's services to charity and contribution to the British record industry. Brown was particularly impressed by his organization of the 'Helping Haiti' fundraising si1ngle earlier this year.
A source close to Simon told the Mirror, "Simon deserves the honor because he does so much work behind the scenes for charity and publicly supports good causes. He has also generated millions in the music and entertainment industries, created thousands of jobs and helped make Sony a multinational conglomerate. Simon has always joked he'd be last in line for a knighthood. But, deep down, it's his dream."

Megan Fox expects us to believe that she voluntarily walked away from her leading role in the blockbuster action-flick franchise Transformers.
Megan, who solidified her status as a modern day sex symbol playing Shia LaBeouf’s sultry love interest in the first two Transformers movies, has been dropped from the third, Paramount Studio chiefs said Wednesday. Fox, however, denies that she was dropped at all. The star’s pokesperson has moved swiftly to dismiss rumors the actress was fired – insisting it was the star’s decision to leave the franchise.
“Megan Fox will not be starring in Transformers 3. It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”
Megan, who is notorious for making headline-grabbing comments to the media, engaged in a public spat with Transformers director Michael Bay last summer. Bay later defended the star and said he looked forward to working with her on part three.
According to sources familiar with the production, Bay reportedly wanted to take the story in a different direction and wanted a new actress to play Shia LaBeouf’s love interest.
Fox played the role of Mikaela Banes in the first Transformers film released in 2007 and reprised her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, released last June.

Law & Order may be getting a new lease on life — on TNT, Variety reports.
The police procedural — featuring Sam Waterson and S. Epatha Merkerson — ran for 20 seasons and spawned several spinoffs (Special Victims Unit, Criminal Intent, Trial By Jury) before the network axed the show last week. It is currently tied with Gunsmoke as television’s longest-running drama.
NBC Universal is in talks with TNT about working out a licensing deal that would open the door for new episodes of the long-running crime drama to run on the cable network — which is already home to reruns of Law & Order.
Last year, the networks reached a similar deal that paved the way for NBC’s gritty cult hit Southland to make the move to TNT after being booted from The Peacock.

Vanessa Williams has joined the cast of ABC’s Desperate Housewives!
Williams — who departed her role as Wilhelmina Slater when the network pulled the plug on Ugly Betty last month — is venturing over to The Alphabet’s other hit dramedy to stir up a ruckus on Wisteria Lane, TV Guide has learned. Just a few weeks ago, talk show chatterbox Wendy Williams squealed that Desperate Housewives was a casting an African-American actress to fill the prominent role of an “intelligent restaurteur” on the show. Now we know it is Vanessa who will appear as a series regular on DH next season.
“I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives,” says series creator Marc Cherry. “But don’t expect Vanessa to be at the center of next season’s big mystery. “I think our mystery is going to involve Paul Young [returning cast member Mark Moses].”
