SONY WARNS OF GLITCH INVOLVING PLAYSTATION 3 ONLINE NET

NEW YORK (AP) - A warning if you have one of the older Sony

PlayStation 3. Sony says there’s a glitch that knocks PS3 users off

the game console’s online network. And Sony says if you keep using

the machines, you might lose data. In a blog post yesterday, Sony

says it believes the problem is caused by a bug in the clock

functionality built into the system - similar to the Y2K bug that

was caused so much fear a decade ago. Sony notes the problem

affects only the older PlayStation 3 models - not the newer, slim

version that went on sale in September. Sony urges customers not to

use the older PlayStation 3 systems until the problem is resolved.

or other toys for that matter?

EQUATION CALCULATES TOYS’ PLAY VALUE: Psychologist Cliff Arnall has created an equation that is designed to calculate a toy’s ‘play value’ based on factors including cost, the amount of time a child is expected to spend with it and whether it encourages social interaction. A toy that scores 40 or above is considered to to be of excellent value.
