Apple’s CarPlay
Apple’s CarPlay

Siri is coming to a car near you. Apple officially announced CarPlay yesterday! It’ll be available on select new cars later this year and is dubbed as a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car. It takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and puts them right on your car’s built-in display; allowing you to listen to music, receive messages and more — all done just by plugging your iPhone into the car’s infotainment system. The screen is controlled via the car’s touchscreen or via Siri voice control. It’s about time Apple made its way into cars. So you may want to hold off on purchasing a new vehicle for just a little while longer to make sure you’ll get to enjoy the benefits of CarPlay.
