Buy A TV In July!
Buy A TV In July!

If you’re in the market for new TV, now is the time to buy! July is a notoriously awful time of year for TV retailers, which means you’ll see some of the lowest prices of the year. The “HD Guru” for NBC News says that since TV makers have had a rough few years they’ve begun adopting “unilateral pricing policies” which means the prices are the absolute lowest a dealer can sell a TV for. Samsung, Sony, LG, Toshiba and Sharp all have the pricing policy in place, so if you spot one of those brands for a low price on Amazon, you’ll probably see the price just as low in Best Buy or your local independent shop. And remember, the longer you wait to buy a specific model the cheaper it will become, and sometimes you can avoid sales tax if you buy your TV from an out-of-state retailer. Something to think about whether your really in need of a new TV or are looking to upgrade to something bigger and better. Do it now and save BIG!

The full 25-year run of "The Simpsons" will arrive on cable channel FXX with a summer marathon, to be paired this fall with a digital extravaganza that could turn other TV shows yellow with envy.
