Mornings with Dave & Jen

Get Fit At Your Desk
Get Fit At Your Desk

Just because you’re surgically attached to your desk at work every day DOESN’T mean you can’t burn off some calories, too!

Here’s four quick exercises to do (and how to do them) from AskMen.com:

Calf Raise  Lift your heels off the ground and squeeze at the top for 30 seconds every half hour or hour.

Butt Clench  Squeeze your butt as hard as you can for 10 seconds on 1 second off.

The “T”  Point shoulders back, put hands forward, thumbs out, do 20 every half hour or hour. Great help for better posture.

Dip  Hands on desk, butt off. Lower and lift 20 times once every half hour or hour.

You could also get a workout CLEANING OFF your desk, according to the Daily Mail!

The average worker has 14 POUNDS of clutter on their desk and we spend about one-and-a-half days a YEAR just sifting through it…the worse the mess, the longer time wasted.

Men over 45 are the WORST about it…while people between the ages of 16 and 24 allow the LEAST amount of clutter to pile up.

13% of men admit their boss has actually had to TALK to them about how messy their desk is, compared to 7% of women.

Despite it all, 46% of us claimed that being more organized would NOT make them better at their job.

(We’re sure the boss might disagree!)
