Age Appropriate Clothing
Age Appropriate Clothing

This is one of the most viral stories from the long 4th of July weekend!

Last week, 43-year-old Madelyn Sheaffer of Independence, Missouri went to a water park with her family and declared independence from boring, un-sexy, one-piece bathing suits.

Madelyn wore a STRING BIKINI to Adventure Oasis Water Park (and rocked it, too)… she recently lost 100 pounds and was celebrating her new look.

Not so fast, said security…who asked her to cover up or LEAVE because the bikini was TOO REVEALING.

Needless to say she was livid…and believes the only reason they said that is because she’s FULLER FIGURED and in her 40s…”I could see a handful of other girls half my age wearing the same size swimming suit and not being singled out.”

Madelyn argued with the staff, and they ended up calling the cops, who escorted her out of the park.  She’s filed a discrimination complaint against the park with the city.

She should’ve checked out this new survey first.

A new Daily Mail survey asked 2,000 women to pick the age when they should stop wearing some of the younger, sexier fashion choices.  Here are the average cut-off ages:

Crop tops that show off your midriff . . . age 34

Really short shorts . . . 35

Belly-button rings and piercings . . . 35

Leggings . . . 37

Miniskirts . . . 37

Bikinis . . . 40 (sorry, Madelyn…you just missed the cut!)

Stiletto heels . . . 41

Long hair . . . 42

The GOOD news?  16% of women surveyed disagreed with ALL of this . . . and said as long as you can pull it off, there’s no age limit on ANY type of clothing.

You go, girls!
