SENECA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a worker has been hit and killed by a tractor-trailer unloading at a landfill in Seneca County.

It happened Saturday morning at the Seneca Meadows landfill in Seneca Falls.

Police aren’t releasing the employee’s name until the worker’s family has been notified.

Police say they are investigating along with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Seneca Meadows is the largest operating landfill in the state with 2,600 acres and several facilities.
