Man wanted in New Jersey arrested at Grassroots Festival

A 32-year-old man wanted in New Jersey on a number of charges, including aggravated assault of a police officer, has been captured at the Grassroots Festival.

Trumansburg Police say 32-year-old Joseph Prioetti, of California, had a backpack with him that was filled with a variety of illegal drugs.

Prioetti allegedly ran as security guards inspected his bag at the festival. He was able to get away from police until he hit South Street in the village.

Police eventually caught up with him there, and took him into custody.

Prioetti is in the Tompkins County Jail, and will be taken back to New Jersey to answer to the charges he faces there, which also include resisting arrest.
