Moravia High School evacuated following car fire

Classrooms at Moravia High School were evacuated Tuesday afternoon as emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire just outside the main entrance.

The Moravia Fire Department responded to the fire, which started shortly before 1 p.m., according to Moravia Central School District Superintendent Michelle Brantner.

The vehicle belonged to a parent and was located near the main entrance to the high school, Brantner said. Classrooms located near the site of the fire were evacuated.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
