Beyonce was left in a tangle after her hair became caught in a huge stage fan during a concert in Canada on Monday night.

The “Crazy in Love” hitmaker was sat on the edge of the stage singing her track Halo when her long locks were swept up into an industrial-sized fan positioned in front of the audience pit.

Beyonce continued to perform as a team of assistants and security guards desperately tried to unwrap her hair from the blades.

The star was eventually freed, prompting a huge cheer from the crowd at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

It is not the only ‘fan’ to cause a scene during a concert on the singer’s Mrs. Carter World Tour – a male devotee dropped to the ground in shock after Beyonce hugged him at a show in America last week.

The woman who as a child was the basis for the Beatles song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is gravely ill. It was thought by many at the time that the psychedelic song from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band was a paean to LSD because of the initials in the title, but it was actually based on a drawing that John Lennon's young son Julian brought home from school. He told his father the drawing was of Lucy in the sky with diamonds. Lucy Vodden, now living in Surrey just outside of London _ drifted apart after schoolyard days, but they have gotten back in touch as Lennon has tried to help Vodden cope with Lupus, a life-threatening disease.
