This year, America turns 250…and it’s going to be a blast!
Here’s a list of parades, festivals and fireworks across the Finger Lakes:
July 2nd:
Hammondsport‘s carnival runs July 2nd–4th with fireworks on July 4th at 9:30pm
Victor Municipal Park has live music, local food and craft beverages, a maker’s market, and family activities, culminating in a fireworks display at dusk
July 3rd:
Conesus Lake has fireworks following the Ring of Fire
Farmington‘s Town Park display has food, live music at 6 pm and fireworks at dusk
Groton has food trucks & music at the Groton Elementary School field begin at 6pm followed by fireworks at dusk
Homer‘s 31st annual reading of the Declaration of Independence starts at 10am on the Village Green
Honeoye Lake‘s Ring of Fire fireworks display starts at dusk
Seneca Falls‘ Canal Fest runs through July 5th with a parade Sunday at 5pm
Taughannock Falls’ Independence Day Party is at the Inn at Taughannock with a BBQ buffet starting at 5:30pm and fireworks at 10pm
Virgil’s celebration is at Greek Peak with live music from Virgil Cain, BBQ and fireworks at Hope Lake Park at dusk
July 4th
Branchport‘s parade starts at 2pm with fireworks at 9:30pm
Canandaigua‘s parade starts at 10am from City Hall down Main Street toward the lake plus their Outhouse Park Celebration & Fireworks with food trucks, local history, and family activities like pie-eating contests and tug-of-war and fireworks at dusk
Cortland County’s Independence Day Spectacular is at Dwyer Memorial Park on Little York Lake…an all-day event with live music, food, & family friendly activities and fireworks over the lake at dusk
Freeville‘s “250 Years of Freedom” begins at 11am with music and food
Geneva‘s Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary celebration culminates with fireworks at dusk setting off from Seneca Lake State Park
Hammondsport‘s carnival wraps up with fireworks at 9:30pm
Keuka Lake’s Fly‑In/Drive In Breakfast at Penn Yan Airport goes 6:30am-11:30am with music, airplane rides, a bounce house and more
Watkins Glen‘s celebration is at Clute Park with fireworks at 9:30pm
