KAREN LEWIS AFTERNOONS 3PM-7PM

Karen returns for another tour of duty at Lite Rock 97.3! She may be a familiar voice to you as she’s worked on Lite in the past…she’s now back home in the Finger Lakes for your drive home every afternoon!

Behind The Scenes

Karen was born and raised in New Jersey but has spent most of her life in the Finger Lakes. Her Mom grew up in Ithaca and every Summer she spent time with her Aunt and cousins here…many of whom are still here!

In 5th grade her declaration was “I want to be a DJ!” After graduating from high school, she went to Ithaca College and lived at WICB and also worked downtown at the former WTKO (now Pure Oldies 94.1-FM/AM 1470 WNYY).

After graduating college, heading to New Jersey and having four kids, Karen returned to do part-time work at many of our stations in the Cayuga Radio Group and throughout the Finger Lakes.

Once her kids were grown, she moved to Virginia where she gave historical tours as a 250 year-old woman (!) at a tavern near Jefferson’s Monticello home…but a visit back to see family here convinced her that this is her “home”!

We hope you’ll welcome her into your home every day!
