Combating eye strain

We’re on screens more now than ever before…from the extra time staying at home to Zoom meetings…and our eyes are getting the worst of it.

A new survey found that one-third of us have complained about eye strain by the end of our workday.

Here are some ways to keep your eyes healthy:

Move closer to a window  More natural light helps. A lot!

Take regular screen breaks  Use the 20-20-20 rule…stare at something that’s 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Use eye drops  Be sure to check the label to make sure you don’t overuse them.

Invest in a good lamp  Poor lighting can cause headaches, irritability and even make you less productive.

Stay away  Try to be at least two feet away from your computer screen…any closer than that is hard on your eyes.
