Beating the holiday “bloat”

Tis the season…to overindulge!

If you find yourself going a little overboard, Eat This, Not That has some tips to help you avoid that gassy, bloated feeling and get you back on track:

  • Chew your food well…it helps your digestive system to process your meal.
  • Incorporate ginger which can calm intestinal activity and reduce intestinal gas.
  • Hydrate with water…aim for 80 ounces over the day.
  • Lie on your left side after a meal to allow gravity to help digestion.
  • Get moving!  A small walk or light housework can beat the bloat.
