You spend one-third of your time in bed…is it cool enough?
A study in Australia found that people with bedroom temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit had greater heart stress.
Doctors explained that the body’s response to heat is to increase heart rate which can strain the heart.
Researchers said that sleeping in a hot room can disrupt sleep, increase sweating, and challenge the body’s cooling capacity leading to disruptive sleep.
So if it’s a furnace in there, you’ll want to knock it down a notch (or two)!
