New ways to celebrate Halloween 🎃

If you’re still on the fence about taking the kids trick or treating this year, here are some alternatives for you from Huff Post and JSOnline:

Halloween scavenger hunts.  Hide candy around your house Easter egg-style and let the fun begin!

Movie nights and indoor picnics  Many parents are planning to order pizza, watch scary movies, play games and let the kids have as much candy as they want.

Outdoor costume parties and parades  They’re fairly low-risk if everyone wears a mask and stays six feet away…not always the easiest thing to do with children.

Pumpkin carving  Most people do it before Halloween but this year why not save it for Halloween to keeps kids occupied.

Halloween piñatas  They’re a decent replacement for trick-or-treating because your kids still get to be surprised by what kind of candy they get.

Costume parties on Zoom  You can keep it casual or have a costume contest…just make sure you’ve got enough candy on hand to pay them out!

How will you be celebrating this weekend?
