Does “an apple a day” work?

We’ve all heard the old saying that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

Does it actually work?

Sort of…researchers at the University of Reading in England recently found that TWO a day does the trick, according to The Ladders!

Those who ate two large apples a day lowered their blood pressure, cut their heart attack risk  and reduced their cholesterol by about 4%!

It worked for everyone but women saw an even bigger reduction.

They also found that drinking Juice instead doesn’t cut it…there’s not enough nutrients or fiber in juice compared to the fruit itself.
