Election Day safety tips

Casting your vote today?

CNN has some tips to do it safely:

Try to spend most of your wait outdoors  If you can, only go inside when you vote.

Vote at a less busy time of day  Most people vote before or after work or on their lunch break so midmorning and midafternoon might be better.

Wear a mask  You’ll need to wear one to cast your ballot and maybe use an N-95 ones or a cloth mask with two or three layers…and don’t forget to cover your nose.

Follow social distancing rules  Try to stay at least six feet away from people in line.

Bring hand sanitizer.  And after you vote, wash your hands as soon as possible.

Don’t bring along anyone who doesn’t need to be there  It’s not the year to bring your kids with you for their safety so if possible, leave them at home or with a sitter.

The most important thing to make sure to vote…don’t let the fear of COVID-19 prevent you from casting your ballot…our polling places are going above and beyond to make sure you can do it as safely as possible!
