Does your height affect your health?
It seems so.
A new study in the Daily Mail found that taller people (i.e. those over 5′ 9″) are at a higher risk for over 100 different health conditions including blood clots, an irregular heartbeat, nerve damage, lightheadedness, inflammation, ulcers, leg pain and bone infections.
They’re not sure exactly why taller people are more susceptible but one theory is that it’s harder to pump blood through your body if you’re tall which can lead to all sorts of health issues long term.
Many of the health conditions also had to do with people’s legs and feet so they theorize that the extra weight that comes with being tall could be a factor, too.
See…being short ain’t so bad after all!
