How to cast your 2020 ballot

Election Day 2020 is rapidly approaching…and it’ll be different in many ways.

First off, many people will choose to vote early…and by absentee ballot.

Are you registered to vote yet?

You have until October 9th in New York State to register…if you mail in your registration, it needs to be received by October 14th for you to be eligible. If you have a DMV-issued ID, you can register online through their website.

Early voting begins October 24th and runs through November 1st.

You may have already received something in the mail asking if you wanted an absentee ballot…if not you can check out the New York Board Of Elections website to get one.

All absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 3rd and received by November 10th to be counted…ballots without a postmark (like those placed in drop boxes) which are received by November 4th will also be counted.

Parade has more details on voting you can check out, too.
