How to hit 100

Living to 100 used to be rare…remember Willard Scott’s Smuckers salutes on the Today Show?

They still do them…but it takes twice as long to do it!

More and more of us are hitting the century mark…why?

A Place For Mom got some advice…straight from the horse’s mouths!

Some were contradictory (eat heathly/watch what you eat) but here are some absolutes:

  • Stay active
  • Stay positive
  • Maintain meaningful relationships
  • Be nice to others
  • Always try to get a good night’s sleep
  • Don’t smoke
  • Have faith

One 106-year-old woman said, “I never smoked, I never drank, I never cussed, I never lied, and I never chased cowboys.”

However you get there…if you get there…be sure to have some fun along the way!
