How to host a (great) Zoom party 🍸

We’re a week away from Christmas Day…are you planning on hosting a Zoom happy hour or party?

The Huffington Post and Berkshire Live have some tips to make it great:

Send out invites  Coordinate in advance what platform you’ll use (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc.) and don’t forget to help your less tech-savvy friends and family members get set up in advance.

Have a plan  It doesn’t have to be to the minute, but it should include a time to log on and fun games or activities to keep their interest (and yours).

Keep it short  Have a cocktail hour, do a dinner or open presents together…but don’t do it all at the same time.

The mute button is your friend  Background noise is bound to happen especially when there are kids involved so make sure everyone knows how to mute themselves or be ready to do it yourself as the host.

Take pictures or screenshots  They’ll make for some great “2020 memories” in a few years…distant ones, we hope!

Oh, BTW…Zoom is once again lifting its 40-minute call limit throughout the holidays… MSN has the schedule…cheers! 🍸
