Staying cool when it’s HOT outside

We’re in the midst of a min heat wave in the Finger Lakes…how do you stay cool?

The Daily Mail asked its readers just that…here’s the top 10:

  • Drinks with LOTS of ice
  • Eating Ice cream
  • Sleeping naked or in your underwear
  • Closing windows and curtains to keep cool air in and sunlight out
  • Taking a cold shower
  • Drinking something hot like coffee or tea
  • Using multiple fans, strategically positioned in your home
  • Bringing a frozen bottle of water to bed
  • Sleeping in something breathable, like cotton
  • Putting a wet towel on your head to cool down

Shaving your entire body just missed the top 10…10% of us have done that…followed by putting a bowl of ice in front of a fan, your feet in cold water, eating something spicy to make you sweat more, sleeping outside and walking around in wet socks!

4% of us have even popped their sheets in the freezer before bed!
