Is it time for a new doctor?

The COVID-19 pandemic has made us appreciate all of our healthcare workers just a little bit more…but not every healthcare provider is the right fit for you.

US News has some signs it might be time to find a new doctor:

You don’t feel comfortable talking to them  Your doctor needs to know lots of intimate details that you may not share with family or friends so if you feel like you can’t disclose things to them, it may not be a good match.

They don’t respect your time  For example if your appointment starts an hour late and when they DO get to you, it feels like they’re rushing you.

They’re never available  A good doctor will be available for your follow-up questions and concerns.  If it takes several days for them to get back to you (or worse, they don’t respond at all), it’s time to find a new one.

Best way to do it? Ask your family, friends or coworkers for recommendations…they’ll usually steer you in the right direction!
