Is the “American Dream” dead?

Is the “American Dream” as we know it dead?

A new study in the New York Post suggests it may be.

Gone are the days of the white picket fence house with 2.5 kids and 1.5 pets.

Today over 60% of Americans say many of the traditional milestones aren’t really that important to them anymore including saving for retirement, getting married, having kids, buying a home and getting engaged.

Why?

“Personal insecurities” tops the list along with not being financially stable, being with someone who doesn’t prioritize those things, paying off student loans first and less peer pressure since many friends are also delaying those things, too.

So stop worrying about how many of those things you’ve “checked off”…setting your own goals that you want to achieve may be the most American dream of them all!
