Making COVID-19 masks

The COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly grown in our country…and in New York State, where two-thirds of all of the US cases exist mostly in NYC and Long Island.

Hospitals have been desperately short on supplies including masks for their patients (and themselves).

Major companies are donating masks or making new ones…the Amish have begun sewing masks…and locally Cayuga Health is looking for sewing volunteers to make masks at Cornell University.

Mask making is already underway at Bartels Hall weekdays from 8am-3pm until the need is met.

To volunteer or for more information, eMail volunteer@cayugamed.org or call Crystal Barkman at (607) 274-4331.
