Should you brush, floss or rinse first?

Do you brush, floss and use mouthwash?

Great job…but are you doing it in the right order? 🤔

A TikTok video on the “right” way to clean your teeth recently went viral…according to dentists, the order matters, too.

Here’s the correct order, according to The Mirror:

Rinse with mouthwash first  Doing it last washes away the fluoride from your toothpaste which you want to stay in there to prevent tooth decay.

Floss.  If you’re already doing it before you brush, you’re doing that right.

Brush your teeth last  Doing it before you floss may keep some of the food particles between your teeth in your mouth.

Dentist also recommend not rinsing after brushing with anything, including water, because it rinses the fluoride away…that, of course, is up to you!
