Skills everyone should learn

There are important things that everyone should learn:  How to read, financial literacy…and how to switch your phone to silent.

A recent Reddit stream asked people what underrated skills everyone should learn…a few of our favorites:

  • First aid including life-saving basics like CPR and the Heimlich maneuver
  • How to swim not just for exercise or recreation, but also as a life skill
  • Cooking is healthier for you AND you’ll save money, too
  • Basic home and car maintenance
  • Sewing
  • Spelling, because we rely on our devices to do it for us

Reading social media clues was also mentioned along with learning how to say “No” and being patient.

What would you add to the list?
