If you’re a Wordle player, do you use the same opening word every day or do you mix it up with different ones?
The New York Times (who now owns Wordle) did some analysis to find the most optimal words to begin with…and the best opener is CRANE!
Why crane?
Their “WordleBot” solves the 2,309 possible Wordles using the fewest number of guesses when it starts with “crane.”
That’s followed by crate, slate, slant, trace, lance, carte, least and trice.
That’s in normal mode, though.
You may not have known there’s a HARD mode of Wordle (you probably play the default easy one)…the best word to stat the harder version is DEALT.
In the harder version you must use any revealed green or yellow letters in your future guesses.
If you want a challenge, learn how to switch to “hard” mode here…and good luck!
