The cooking mistakes we ALL make

What are the cooking mistakes we ALL make?

BuzzFeed asked professional chefs for the most common ones…here’s a few:

Using dull knives  You’re actually more likely to cut yourself with a dull knife…so sharpen them up…and be careful.

Cutting your vegetables unevenly  They cook unevenly…spend the time t cut them evenly for better results.

NOT cooking to taste  Sample everything as you go and adjust if something doesn’t taste right when there’s still time to fix it.

Leaving the cleaning  Don’t leave a huge mess of pots and pans to do after dinner. Knock out some during your prep so it doesn’t overwhelm you at the end.

Checking to see if it’s ready  Stop constantly checking your food in the oven.  Opening the door lets heat out and your oven has to preheat all over again.
