The first symptoms of COVID-19

We know a lot more about the novel Coronavirus and COVID-19 than we did when the pandemic first started…including which symptoms to look out for.

A new study analyzed the order COVID-19 symptoms usually happen.

Researchers looked at more than 50,000 coronavirus cases, and figured out when COVID-19 symptoms are most likely to show up.

The first is fever…hat’s the first symptom people usually notice.

The next is a cough.  That’s the opposite of the flu, by the way…you’re more likely to have a cough first and then a fever with the flu.

The third symptom is muscle pain…general soreness or achiness…followed by an upset stomach or vomiting…and then diarrhea.

If that’s your chronology, you’ll want to check with your doctor to see if you should get a COVID-19 test.

Not ALL patients have those symptoms in order, of course…but a high fever is most common among all COVID-19 patients.
