The GERMIEST things in stores

We’ve all done our best to stay safe while shopping…but there are still some hot spots in stores, according to the CBC.

Canadian researchers went to 24 different stores and swabbed all over to find them…and the germiest thing you’ll come into contact with is right at the checkout.

Credit card pin pads are the most contaminated because everyone uses them and they’re not wiped down enough.

The handles on shopping baskets were next, followed by the front of your shopping cart and the freezer door handles.

Some surprising things weren’t as germy…the baby seat in shopping carts and the handle of your shopping cart are relatively safe…probably because they’re constantly wiped down by employees…and customers.

Health experts recommend you carry some wipes or hand sanitizer on you next time you pop to the shops.
