Your parent’s “house rules”

What were your “house rules” growing up?

A new survey in SWNS asked people for theirs…here’s the top 10:

  • You can’t play until you finish your homework
  • No TV until homework is done
  • You can’t leave the table until you eat all your vegetables
  • No sweets until after dinner
  • A limit on TV time if it was a school night
  • Finish everything on your plate even if you don’t like it
  • You can’t do anything fun until your chores are finished
  • No snacks right before dinner
  • Be home before the streetlights turn on
  • No eating in your bedroom

They also asked what made a friend’s house “cool” when they were kids…#1 was good snacks, followed by video games, cable TV, a swimming pool and better toys!

What were yours?
