The “human dog food” diet

Ever open up a can of your pet’s food and think…”Ya know…in a pinch…”?

Some of it looks (and smells!) good enough to eat!

TikTok‘s hot new health hack is eating “human dog food!

It’s not really dog food…it just looks like it.

One viral video shows a man mincing vegetables, chopping up tofu and chicken, adds rice and cooks it then mixes it together.

He ats a bowl of it for EVERY MEAL!

Essentially, it’s just stir-fry with lots of ingredients but it’s chopped up so fine, it looks more like something your dog would eat.

People are calling it the “human dog food” or “human kibble” diet, according to the NY Post.

The idea is it makes meal planning easy, and you know you’re eating healthy but nutrition experts say there are some downsides.

  • You’ll probably get bored so you won’t stick with it
  • It strips all the joy out of eating
  • You need to eat more of a variety for a balanced diet

It might be a good hack for SOME of your meals…maybe swap out lunch for it.

Would you try it? 🤔
