The most DANGEROUS living room item

What’s the most dangerous item in your living room?

Your feet may be on it right now!

You don’t often think of coffee tables as being dangerous…but the glass ones are, according to a new Rutgers study.

Glass tables cause over 2.5 million injuries a year…and kids are more likely to get injured than adults.

  • The groups that hurt themselves the most are little kids and young adults in their early 20’s….maybe because both groups are more likely to climb or stand on them.
  • Over half of the injuries involved deep cuts but tripping over a glass table you didn’t see also happens a lot
  • You’re most likely to hurt your wrist, hands and fingers on a glass table but not always from putting your hand through glass.  Many people cut themselves picking up broken glass AFTER one breaks.
  • Men are twice as likely as women to hurt themselves on a glass table.

May be time for a (safer) upgrade, no?
