The NEW wedding rules 👰

Heading to a wedding in 2023?

Slate.com has their list of “new rules” for weddings to make them better!

They include:

  • No more engagement parties
  • No outdoor summer weddings
  • Your closest friends, not you, should control the guest list
  • It is entirely fine to deny anyone a plus-one for any reason
  • Never say “black tie optional”…choose for your guests
  • It is fine to skip a wedding for any reason, but RSVP early
  • No kids at the reception
  • Traveling from out of town?  You don’t need to get the couple a gift
  • It’s fine if someone else wears white
  • No one has to walk you down the aisle
  • Give us a good kiss
  • Posed photos are over
  • Simplify the menu
  • Speeches must be pre-written
  • Dancing is mandatory for everyone able to do so

What do you think? Which ones would you add?
