The return of outdoor dining

There’s a reason to celebrate this weekend…outdoors!

Governor Cuomo okayed outdoor dining for restaurants in the Finger Lakes…with several safety precautions, of course.

Eater tells you what you can expect at your favorite bistro.

Not all restaurants are ready for outdoor service…many will offer outside tables for takeout food consumption…we strongly recommend checking with your restaurant first to see if they are before you head out.

Several restaurants like the Plantation Bar and Grill in Varna, Agava in Ithaca, the Ithaca Ale House and Collegetown Bagels downtown, Glenwood Pines on Route 89, Flynn’s Roadhouse in Lansing and Little Venice in Trumansburg among many more are eager to welcome customer to dine with them this weekend.

Some wineries and breweries are also offering outside consumption of food and wine including Six Mile Creek in Ithaca and Hopshire Farm and Brewery in Freeville.

Social distancing will be practiced, seating will be limited and masks will need to be worn except when dining.

PLEASE be patient and tip your servers well…they’ve earned it.
