Things YOU can do to save the planet

Today is Earth Day…a day created in 1970 to help make the world a better place for future generations.

What can you do to help?

Stop wasting leftovers  It takes a lot of water and resources to grow all those vegetables you buy and don’t eat so buy just what you need…you’ll save some money, too!

Stop overusing napkins  Do you really need more than one to get through a meal?

Reusable grocery bags  You can also use paper bags for your recycling…win/win!

Conservation, Greenily and the Yale Ledger have some more ideas…and Money Talks has some that will also save you money, too!

And a great way to start is to talk to your kids about the importance of Earth Day so they can hand it down to their children and grandchildren.
