“Tin can” phones for kids
“Tin can” phones for kids

You may have been all-in on the new iPhone a7 drop this week…but there’s a different kind of phone that both parents and kids want this year.

Business Insider says a new kid-friendly WiFi phone called Tin Can is all the rage targeted to nostalgic parents who don’t want their kid to have a REAL phone just yet.

It’s like an old-school landline with a cord and works over WiFi. There’s no texting or apps, only approved people can call it and you control outgoing calls, too.

The name is a nod to those old tin can phones you’d make with string…in fact the handset is even curved like a can with little ridges on it.

They’re on sale now for $75 and new orders ship in early December just in time for Christmas.
