Unique ways to stop snoring

Sleep…we just can’t seem to get enough of it…and our partner’s snoring doesn’t help!

In fact a recent study found that half of us would consider sleeping in separate beds to make sure they get a good night’s rest.

Before it gets to that, try some of the “stop snoring” solutions from SWNS:

  • Using extra pillows or buying “anti-snore” pillows (?)
  • Drinking more water
  • Nasal strips and sprays
  • Saline rinses and sprays
  • Decongestants
  • Taking a hot shower before bed (them, not you!)
  • Using a mouthguard
  • Avoiding alcohol before bed or completely
  • Sleeping sitting up
  • Sleeping backward, with your head at the foot of the bed (!)

But wait…there’s more!

Some have put clothespins on their noses, spread thyme oil on their feet (?), putĀ  a tennis ball in their PJs and taped their mouths shut!

Snoring can be a sign of a more serious medical condition like sleep apnea so check with your doctor first…they may even have some new things to try!
