Mapping out your Summer vacation?
Here’s some vacation rental words to be wary of from Lifehacker:
- “Secluded” It probably means that the property is far enough away from other people that you can turn the volume up without disturbing anyone but it could mean it’s also far away from anything you want to do.
- “Secure” When hosts include the words “safe” and “secure” in the listing, it could be a clue that the home isn’t in the best area.
- “Rustic.” It can mean different things to different people, so it’s a good idea to go through the reviews and photos carefully to make sure the place at least meets your standards.
- “Eclectic.” Like “rustic,” “eclectic” can mean different things to different people. So it’s another one you’ll want to take a close look at the pictures and reviews.
If you’ve got any doubt, call the leasing agent and ask just to be sure!
