What kids want to learn at school

We often talk about the things parents wish they were taught in school…or would teach their kids today…but what would kids like to learn?

A survey at SWNSDigital asked schoolchildren between the ages of 6 and 11 what subjects they would add to their curriculum…and the results are, well, surprising!

The #1 answer was a class on “How to be a YouTube star” (which, in a way, could be considered an early business class) followed by “How to look after pets”, “How to cook my favorite meal”, “How to be good at video games” and “How to eat healthily”.

The top ten also included “How to recycle”, “How to be brave”, “How to cheer someone up”, “How to make people laugh” and “How to be proud of myself”.

Other subjects mentioned were looking after plants, making friends, telling a good joke, respecting others, being a better listener…and how to make toast!
