You’ve been vaccinated…congratulations! 🙌
Now what should you do with your vaccination card?
CBS News says you should photograph it (both sides) as soon as you get it.
You may wan to scan it and keep a file on your laptop or desktop, too.
Some providers also give you a digital card you can access on your phone…if so, you should download that.
New York has an app called the Excelsior Pass that can act as your digital card providing proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID test…it’s free to download.
You might want to keep the original card at home. Since you don’t need to have the actual card with you at the moment, a digital copy should suffice for most needs. Unless someone asks for it, put it somewhere safe…it’s your official CDC record of vaccination and you’ll most likely need it to once again attend events and travel.
And BTW be sure to notify your primary care physician that you’ve been vaccinated so they can update your records.
