We’re right in the middle of “engagement season” (in some corners known as “cuffing season”), which runs from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day.
Are you thinking of popping the question?
A new study asked women what they want in a marriage proposal…and it’s not (shockingly!) a scrawl on the Jumbotron!
They much prefer a private one (66%) and also would you to think about it what you’re going to do before you do it (66%) rather than it be spontaneous.
Most women (85%) say they feel there’s more pressure on their partners to plan a unique proposal today than their parents had.
Another 20% think that the exchange of rings has more meaning and significance today than it did for our parents.
Oh…and about that ring…
Nearly all women (96%) want to have some involvement in the selection of their engagement ring and most prioritize something personalized and unique over the SIZE of the diamond.
And yes, most women still DO want a diamond!
They ARE a girl’s best friend, doncha know! 💍
