In TV and the movies, you’ll often see families awakened by an intruder late in the night.
In real life though, that’s the exception rather than the rule.
Yes, home invasions occur at night, but most happen during the day, according to Reader’s Digest…usually between 10am-11am and 1pm-3pm.
Why?
Even if you’re an at-home Mom or work from home, those are the times you’re probably out on errands or at the gym and your house will be completely empty.
So even if your’re only going “around the corner” make sure to secure your home every time you leave it…and leave a light on at night…that really DOES work!
