We’re not “phone averse”…we just never pick it up or (God forbid!) actually make a phone call.
Seems we’re not alone.
A recent poll found 23% of people under 35 NEVER answer the phone, either…in fact, adults spend just five-and-a-half minutes a day on the phone now (which, frankly, seems high).
There are times, though, when a phone call is OK, including:
- For a catch up
- Bad news, like a death in the family or a health diagnosis
- GOOD news, like “We’re pregnant!” or “We’re getting married!”
- To support someone who’s going through a tough time
- To wish some “Happy Birthday!”
- When you’re running late and you CAN’T (like driving)
- Calling in sick to work
- When you’re lost and can’t find anyone
When do you use the phone?
