Winter car theft

What’s the #1 reason cars are stolen in Winter?

Because they’ve been left on!

Fox News reports that 11% of vehicles stolen last year had their keys or wireless key fob inside them

You actually can get a ticket for leaving your car running with the keys in the ignition in New York State…it’s considered an unattended vehicle and a safety risk.

If you’ve got a remote starter, you won’t because there’s no keys inside the vehicle.

However a car that’s warming up is an invitation for theft…so always be sure to lock your car and set your alarm just to be safe.
