A new study in Gizmodo finds that if you do a bad job wrapping your presents, people actually like them MORE!
When something’s wrapped nicely, it sets a high gift expectation…which leaves room for disappointment.
However if you “phone it in”, the givee doesn’t expect it to be anything good…so when it IS good, they’re surprised and excited.
If your poorly wrapped gift is ALSO a bad gift…we can’t help you with that one! 🤷♂️
