Coronavirus food safety tips

As we all live cleaner lives in the hope of corralling COVID-19, many have wondered how to clean the food they bring home from the grocery stores…is bleaching your food safe?

The quick answer is no, according to Business Insider.

In fact, ingesting bleach can come with its own set of health problems.

Experts recommend you wash your produce thoroughly with warm water…and your hands with soap and water before, during and after food preparation.

You can also rinse off your canned goods or items in plastic or glass containers if you’re worried.

As far as eating out, restaurants and eateries that are still open are practicing extreme health measures to make sure your food is okay…and cooking your food helps to sanitize it, too.
