How To EAT Your Christmas Tree 🎄

Today is “Take Down The Christmas Tree” Day…pass the salt and pepper!

A few years back an “artisan baker and cook” in the U.K. wrote a book called “How to Eat Your Christmas Tree” featuring dozens of dishes you can make using your tree.

Now The Guardian reports the trend is picking up steam.

A growing number of eco-conscious households are eating various parts before throwing them out.

OK…but how you might ask?

Apparently the needles can be used like rosemary or bay leaves and are a good source of vitamin C and can also be crushed to flavor gin or vinegar.

The wood can be burned to make pine ash, which can be used as flavoring, as fertilizer in gardens or for cleaning the kitchen!

Talk about upcycling!
